Building out critical components of FilterBuy growth organization

FilterBuy brought in Constant Hire to build out their growth organization across five functions at once.

As the business scaled, leadership identified multiple gaps across:

  • Performance creative
  • Customer acquisition & growth
  • Marketing analytics
  • Product expansion opportunities

Rather than approaching hiring as isolated searches, Constant Hire worked alongside the team to identify, scope, and fill critical roles across the org, ultimately helping shape the structure of their growth engine.

Five searches running at the same time. Every hire had to fit into the team being built around it.

Key challenges included:

  • Hiring performance-first leaders in an “unsexy” industry (HVAC / home goods)
  • Finding candidates with enterprise-scale experience who could operate without the budget and infrastructure to match
  • Identifying leaders capable of building teams, not just executing individually
  • Replacing underperforming or misaligned talent in key roles

Some roles were being built from zero. Others were replacing functions that already existed. Keeping the candidate criteria straight across both, at the same time, was the real coordination challenge.

Constant Hire ran all five searches together. Each role was scoped on its own, but every candidate was evaluated against the full team being built.

Across roles, the focus was on:

  • Performance-driven backgrounds from notable DTC brands
  • Candidates capable of owning functions and building teams
  • Candidates who understood the business, not just the channel they'd be running

Key Hires Included:

Head of Performance Creative

Brought in to build and lead the performance creative division, with a strong DTC background and experience at a top-tier brand.

Head of Customer Growth

Hired to replace an underperforming leader and drive performance across paid media, creative, and growth channels.

Director of Marketing Analytics

Tasked with bringing analytics in-house from agencies, building cross-platform attribution systems across DTC, wholesale, and marketplace channels.

New Product Development (Net New Role)

A candidate sourced for the paid search role stood out for his HVAC product knowledge, enough that FilterBuy created a role around him.

Constant Hire had to reset the candidate's expectations after he didn't get the original role, keep him engaged while FilterBuy built the internal case for creating a new one, and manage a timeline that stretched longer than either side expected.

Across all five searches, Constant Hire evaluated 60+ candidates, ran concurrent searches without candidate conflicts, and managed multi-stakeholder alignment at the leadership level. Some searches closed in three weeks. Others ran closer to three months depending on seniority and scope
