Job Description

About the Company

Our client is a wellness and skincare brand built on supplements, and the number one seller of liquid collagen in the US. Since launching the client has grown to $300M plus in annual revenue with more than 50 percent compound annual growth, all online, all direct to consumer.

The client is part of a larger public consumer tech company that also owns other consumer brands. The New York office runs young, scrappy, and hard-working, with a team built on consulting, private equity, and investment banking backgrounds who came here to move fast and win.

Role Overview

This is a hybrid (4 days in office) Sr. Media Buyer role based in New York, NY. This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the CEO. This person will own paid media buying at scale, managing a minimum of $10M to $15M a month across channels, with Meta as the core platform and other channels required alongside it. Media buying is being separated from creative, so this person will sit as a peer to the Lead of Creative rather than reporting to them, working closely with the creative performance team and retention team to keep spend and messaging aligned. There's no legacy tech stack or attribution tooling to inherit here, which means real freedom to run this the way this person knows works. The client is also investing more in new channels, TV is a major focus, along with early tests in small retail media plays.

Responsibilities

  • Own media buying at scale: Manage $10M to $15M or more a month in paid media spend across Meta and additional channels, with full accountability for performance.
  • Live in the data: Stay in constant, close contact with performance data, catching inefficiencies and opportunities before they become bigger problems.
  • Push into new channels: Help scale investment into TV as a major new channel, along with early tests into small retail media opportunities.
  • Partner across teams: Work closely with the creative performance team and retention team, and as a peer to the Lead of Creative, to keep media and messaging working together.
  • Optimize relentlessly: Continuously reallocate budget across channels and campaigns to keep spend efficient as it scales.
  • Build your own systems: Bring the analytics tools and approach that have worked before, there is no fixed tech stack to work around.

Who They're Looking For

  • 7-10+ years of hands-on paid media experience with DTC brands.
  • Has managed $10M or more a month in paid media spend, ideally in the $10M to $15M range, at a DTC brand in any category, wellness experience is not required.
  • Meta is a core strength, comfortable running spend across additional channels as well.
  • Heavy on data analytics, living in the numbers day to day rather than checking in occasionally.
  • Competitive and driven, with a hard-working streak and constant vigilance on performance.
  • Comes from a strong university pedigree or a consulting background, or is an agency operator whose spend and caliber match this level.
  • Comfortable being hands on keyboard daily, not just directing strategy from a distance.
  • Experience testing or scaling into newer channels like TV or retail media is a strong plus.

This role is ideal for a data-obsessed, competitive media buyer who wants full ownership of a $10M+ monthly budget without legacy tech stack or attribution tooling to work around.
