Job Description

About the Company

Our client is a leader in EMF-blocking apparel. The company is building the next category-defining brand in personal protection and is hiring the person who will own what goes on the body, and into the home, for the next decade.

Role Overview

This is a remote, full-time Head of Product & Design role. This person will report to the CEO, owning the roadmap, the line direction, the quality bar, and the call on whether something ships or gets killed. This isn't a role cutting tech packs, but the ideal candidate can look at a sample and tell exactly what's wrong, staying in it until it's right. Ops runs production against the spec this person sets. Day one, this person is the product function, hiring a product developer and a designer or two as the work demands it.

First 18 Months

- 90 days: Audit complete. Priority programs identified. Team aligned on seasonal cadence.

- 6 months: First SKUs built under the new process are in market, on time, on margin, right quality.

- 12 months: New line programs fully in development. Launch dates hit within a two-week window. A pilot apparel program with a branch of the U.S. military is moving with zero friction.

- 18 months: The development and quality standards built are ones a brand 10x the client's size would be proud to inherit.

Who They're Looking For

- 5+ years in product at a performance, technical, or premium lifestyle apparel brand they helped scale.

- Senior enough to be the final word on product. Hungry enough to still want to do the work themselves.

- A portfolio where the calls were theirs: the line, the drop, the category.

- Reads culture, fit, finish, and trend like a designer. Reads margin, sell-through, and mix like an operator.

- Experience across apparel, home, and adjacent categories.

- Has navigated overseas manufacturing and complex supplier relationships.

- Would rather kill a product than ship something that's fine.

- Makes things happen fast.
