Client designs and makes personalized 14k gold birthstone jewelry and sells it directly to customers
About the Company
Our client designs and makes personalized 14k gold birthstone jewelry and sells it directly to customers.. When a customer chooses their stones, the client's own jewelers handcraft that piece to order, for the person who will wear it. Designing, making and selling under one roof gives the client control over quality and personalization. It also means the marketing calendar and the production calendar are one calendar. Every launch, campaign and holiday moment depends on great creative landing on time, and on product the team can make and ship by the date promised. This role makes sure both happen.
Role Overview
This is an Ecommerce Manager role based in Warren, RI (hybrid, 1 day per week in office). This person is the project lead for everything a customer sees from the client online. They will own the content launch and promo calendar, write the briefs, and keep the in-house creative team, agencies, web admins and production team moving on one schedule. The first big project is choosing and building the project management system the whole team will run on. This person will work closely with leadership and the co-founders, see every part of the business, and help shape what this role and the team around it become as more of this work comes in-house. The client is an AI-native team, and this person will use Claude every day to write briefs, build trackers, QA launches and turn repeat work into workflows the team can reuse.
Responsibilities
- Calendar ownership: Own the master launch and promo calendar across email, SMS, paid, homepage, landing pages, site updates and post-purchase, with clear owners, deadlines and dependencies.
- Project management buildout: Stand up the project management tool (Asana, Monday or similar) from scratch, then run the weekly cadence on it, including status check-ins and a short recap after every major launch.
- Briefs that are ready to work: Turn the marketing calendar into complete briefs for email, paid social, site pages and shoots, with goal, offer, products, copy direction, specs and deadline gathered before they go out.
- Agency and partner deadlines: Be the day-to-day contact for the ad agency, loyalty program, SEO, web and dev partners, and follow up before things slip, not after.
- Production alignment: Partner with the factory on lead times, capacity and inventory so the client never promotes a style it can't make and ship by the date promised.
- Launch readiness and QA: Coordinate Shopify updates with the web admins and check every launch for pricing, discount codes, links, personalization options, mobile and ship-by dates before it goes live.
- Keep everyone briefed: Make sure customer service and the wider team know about every launch, promo and timing change before customers see it.
- AI-first workflows: Turn recurring work like briefs, checklists and recaps into reusable Claude workflows connected to the tools already in use, including Shopify, Klaviyo and Google Drive.
Who They're Looking For
- 3 to 5 years in ecommerce, digital marketing operations or creative project management, ideally at a DTC brand.
- Has worked in fashion, jewelry or another high-AOV category, understanding a considered purchase and how to work with creatives from that world.
- Comfortable with a high SKU count, and experience at a brand that makes its own product is a real plus.
- Has run many deliverables at once across in-house teams and outside agencies, and hits deadlines.
- Writes clear, complete briefs a designer can start on today, and catches the wrong price or broken link before customers do.
- Knows Shopify and how email, paid social and site launches get built. Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager or Figma experience helps.
- Uses AI tools, ideally Claude, in daily work and can show workflows or automations they've built.
- Chases deadlines calmly and directly without damaging relationships, and is open to learning every channel rather than locked into one.
