Our client is a profitable, bootstrapped eCommerce company that's been building and scaling Amazon brands for nearly 15 years. Today, the company operates a portfolio of private label brands across categories including signage, stationery, and automotive accessories while also maintaining a key exclusive reseller partnership with a national consumer brand.
Role Overview
This is a Senior Amazon Brand & Vendor Manager role based in Burlingame, CA (1 day/week in-office, remote the rest of the week). This person will take ownership of one or more brands end-to-end, from sourcing and supply chain through content, marketing, and vendor relationship management. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role on a small, tight-knit team, with real autonomy and real accountability, and a lot of room to grow as the company scales.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day performance of one or more Amazon brands.
- Source, develop, and launch new private label products with overseas manufacturers.
- Manage product development, including quotes, samples, inspections, and supplier relationships.
- Drive execution inside Amazon Seller Central.
- Monitor inventory, sales, margins, and business performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Partner with designers on listing optimization, A+ Content, and Brand Store strategy.
- Manage relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and key business partners.
- Lead offshore support staff and contractors while improving operational workflows.
- Collaborate with leadership on category expansion, product strategy, and long-term growth initiatives.
Who They're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a seller on the Amazon marketplace, with direct responsibility for a brand's sourcing/supply chain and its content/marketing direction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full lifecycle of a brand, not just one slice of it (e.g., only PPC, or only supply chain).
- Comfortable directing and collaborating with a graphic design team, able to brief creative needs clearly and give effective feedback, without needing to produce the design work personally.
- Experience managing and developing freelancers/contractors over time, building process and workflow within a small team, not just staffing it.
- Strong vendor and relationship management skills, comfortable supporting an important external brand partnership alongside a primary relationship owner.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area strongly preferred, open to candidates located elsewhere in California.
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and wants to grow with a company for the long haul.
